Who is Accendo?
Now, Accendo is actually owned by CVS and their family of insurance products. CVS acquired Aetna back in 2019.
So it’s a very similar company offering the same great Medicare supplement plans with one slight twist. They have an outstanding household discount of 14%, which is the highest in the industry!
So we definitely want to discuss if this plan is available in your state.
So who is Medisupps.com?
My name is Russell Noga and I’m the owner of Medisupps.com.
Together with top agent Dianna Firth, we have a combined 17 years in the industry helping Seniors get the best Medigap coverage for the lowest premiums.
We love helping our clients and people like yourself save money!
We shop the rates for you every year, including when you get a rate increase. And you will.
And we make sure you’re not overpaying on your Medicare Supplement Plan by comparing all the top companies and their rates.
Accendo Medicare Supplement
Now, because Accendo is a new division of CVS, it doesn’t have its own financial rating per se.
But it falls under Aetna Senior Supplemental Insurance, which is A-rated.
So just about as good as it gets when it comes to their financial rating.
Accendo Medicare Supplement insurance not only has great coverage, but they offer a huge 14% Household Discount!
That’s the largest in the industry, so let’s find out if they’re in your area now!
Accendo Medicare Supplement Plans
There are a total of ten Medicare supplement plans available from Medicare, and Accendo certainly offers the most popular plans.
Those are Plan G, N, F, and A.
We’ll help find what’s available in your state, and if they are, we’ll compare their rate against other companies to find you the lowest premiums.
Accendo Household Discount
As I mentioned, one of the unique features of Accendo is that they offer a 14% household discount. But it gets better…
Both spouses do not need to enroll in an Accendo Medicare Supplement.
With Accendo, you just have to live with someone. You don’t even have to be married, and they can be any age!
What a great opportunity to save some BIG MONEY.
Now, for you folks who are not living with somebody and you live alone. That’s perfectly fine because Accendo still likely has some of the lowest premiums in your area.
Below is a list of the states that we currently offer Accendo Medicare supplement plans in, with more being added soon:

Accendo Medicare Supplement
So now that we’ve learned a little bit more about who Accendo is as a company. Let’s talk about some of the plans that they offer.
They offer the most popular plans very similar to Aetna, and some of the other big companies.
Those plans will include Medicare Plan A, Medicare Supplement Plan F, Medicare Supplement Plan G, and Medicare Supplement Plan N.
So i’ll give you a quick breakdown of each of those plans.
Accendo Medicare Supplement Plan A
While Medicare Supplement plans have a standard package as defined by the federal government, each of them offers its coverage in its unique way.
Accendo Medicare Supplement Plan A takes charge of Part A coinsurance, the first three pints of blood, Part A hospice coverage, and Medicare Part B copayments and coinsurance.
This is not a plan that most people will want to go with.
Medicare Supplement Plan A is a core basic plan that few people enroll in, but it is available.
Sometimes people under 65 who are eligible for Medicare will enroll in this plan if it’s the only Medigap plan their state offers.
Accendo Medicare Supplement Plan F
Then we have Medicare Supplement Plan F.
For years, this was the most popular plan because it offered 100% coverage.
Accendo is offering this plan, just not to everyone.
This is because Medicare discontinued Plan F. If you’re eligible for Medicare on January 1 of 2020 or later, you’re not even allowed to enroll in a Medicare Supplement Plan F.
Only people who had a Plan F prior to that date can switch to an Accendo Medicare Supplement Plan F.
And if you’ve got a Plan F and you dying to keep it, you can of course. However, I don’t typically recommend that you do.
If you do in fact wish to stay on Plan F, then by all means give us a call because we can shop rates for Plan F from other companies and you can switch to save money on your premium.
Medicare Plan F vs Plan G
And you’ll certainly want us to check out Accendo’s rates for their Plan F or G because you might qualify for that huge household discount.
I would encourage you to consider switching to Plan G though, as you really can save quite a bit of money!
Plan F, again, not being offered anymore. It’s what’s called a Closed Risk Pool.
They are experiencing very high rate increases and will likely continue into the future.
So you might want to be looking at Accendo Medicare Supplement Plan G instead…
Accendo Medicare Supplement Plan G
Now, Medicare Supplement Plan G currently is the most popular plan, given the fact that you only have one small deductible to pay, and then it acts like a Plan F and you get 100% coverage.
And, Accendo Medicare Supplement Plan G will most definitely be their most popular plan now and likely into the future for quite some time.
That’s because of that outstanding coverage and a relatively low premium.
Medicare Part B deductible
So you might be asking, “Well, how much is this deductible?”
Well in 2021, the annual Part B deductible is $203.
In 2021, that deductible is going to go up slightly as it does every year.
Again, just one out-of-pocket expense on Plan G aside from your monthly premium, which is that Part B deductible.
Once that’s paid, you’ll get 100% coverage of the gaps of Part A and B Medicare on all approved expenses.
Now, while Plan G is the most popular and of course has great coverage, there’s also another great option that many, many people have,
which is Medicare Supplement Plan N.
Accendo Medicare Supplement Plan N
Accendo will be offering this in all of their states. And it’s definitely something want to consider.
Plan N is very similar to Plan G where you still pay that Part B deductible each year and then get the 20% co-insurance paid for.
The great thing about Plan N is the lower premiums you’ll pay vs. Plan G, as well as lower rate increases each year.
Medicare plan N co-pays
With Plan N however, you might have a small co-pay for each doctor’s visit after you meet that deductible.
That co-pay will never be more than $20. In fact, it could be less than 20, or there could be no co-pay at all.
Emergency room co-pay
Now another expense that you might get on Plan N is if you visit the emergency room and you’re not admitted, you’ll have to pay a $50 co-pay.
Not a big deal because if you’re not admitted to the emergency room, that’s a good thing, pay the 50 bucks and go home.
Now, another difference between Plan N and Plan G is something called Part B Excess Charges.
Those are covered with Plan G. With Plan N, those are not covered. However, these are extremely rare.
In my 11 years of business, I’ve never heard of any of my clients getting an excess charge.
What this means is if your doctor does not accept the assigned rates of Medicare, they can charge up to 15% extra of the approved expenses.
Now, It’s estimated that over 97% of all doctors in this country do accept the assigned rates.
Therefore, your chances of running into these are quite low.
This makes plan N will be a great option for you even regardless of that.
