What is Medicare Plan G

Medicare Plan G is the most popular Medigap plan available today. With just one small deductible (Annual Part B) to pay and then 100% coverage, more people will enroll in Plan G this year than any other plan.

Plan G pays 100% of the gaps, or expenses, in Medicare Part A and B after this deductible is met.

Prior to Medicare paying any of your doctor’s bills, you are required to pay a small deductible. In 2021 this deductible was $203, and in 2022 it will go up slightly.

After this deductible is met, Medicare Part B will pay 80% of your bills, and Plan G will pick up the difference up to no limit.

Medicare Supplement Plan G

Medicare Supplement Plan G is the most comprehensive Medigap plan offered by Medicare now, except for Plan F, which is no longer is available to new people coming on Medicare.

Plan F simply became too expensive, and many people who still have it should really be looking at switching to Plan G to not only save money on their premiums, but also because of lower rate increases with Plan G.

Medigap Plan G is offered by several insurance carriers, but because Medigap plans are standardized by the government all the companies offer the same Plan G.

There is literally no difference in coverage from one company to the next, however, the premiums each month that you will pay are all entirely different. This makes shopping for rates each year a must.

We can do that for you, and our service is entirely FREE.

Is Medicare Plan G Better than Plan F?

Without question Plan, G is a better alternative for most people than Plan F.

Again, with Plan G you just pay the annual Part B deductible and then get 100% coverage.

Medicare plan F pays that deductible for you, but in reality, you’re paying much higher premiums for them to write a check with your money.

There is no reason you can’t pay the deductible yourself with Plan G and save all that money.

Medicare Plan G Cost

The cost of Medicare Plan G is based on your age, zip code, gender, tobacco use, and if you qualify for any household discounts which we can easily check for you.

Also as previously stated, each company will have different rates for the same Medicare plan G. On top of that, they all have rate increases every year.

If you let us help, you’ll pay us nothing but we check the rates each year for our clients and switch them if possible to save them money.

Otherwise, you’ll have to call each carrier yourself, every year, and talk to pushy salespeople at each company just to see how much they all charge when you get an increase.

Let us do that for you, it costs the same whether you let us help or you go direct!
