Extended Basic Plan will afford the same benefits’ package offered under the Basic Plan with the addition of Medicare Part A hospital deductible; Medicare Part B annual deductible; non-Medicare eligibl expenses such as doctor’s services, home health agency services and treatment by a physical therapist, when not paid for by Medicare; and preventive medical care.
There is also the option of choosing which rider to go with the Basic Plan. A rider is an additional benefit coverage which may be purchased at an extra cost. Optional Rider 1 offers benefits for Part A deductible, Part B excess charges, and preventive care. Optional Rider 2 has coverage for Part B Annual Deductible while Optional Rider 3 provides for Part A deductible. Finally, Optional Rider 4 covers for Part B excess charges while Optional Rider 5 covers preventive care.
