The Omaha Insurance Company exists as a part of Mutual of Omaha. As such it is a well-regarded insurance provider, meeting a number of insurance needs for its clients. Customers can choose from a selection of health, life and Long-term care insurance plans. And to help pay deductibles and coinsurance of Part A and B Medicare many beneficiaries will be looking at Omaha Insurance Company Medigap insurance in 2016.
As far as Medigap plans go, Omaha Insurance Company offers most of the popular choices. These are the ones that provide policyholders with the most coverage, and they are the plans that the majority of Medicare subscribers looking for supplemental insurance tend to choose.
Medigap Plan F
Plan F, as you will discover, is the only one of these supplemental plans that offers complete coverage. It takes care of all deductibles you would have to pay, both from Medicare Part A and B. And it covers all the co-payments as well. Included in this plan is coverage for nursing care, coinsurance, more blood each year, excess charges and a portion of the cost of travel for certain medical emergencies that have to be treated outside the US.
Medigap Plan G
This plan is becoming increasingly popular, and for good reason. You can get similar coverage from Plan G as you do from Plan F. But while Plan F offers full coverage, Plan G simply asks that policyholders pay for Medicare Part B deductible out-of-pocket themselves once per calendar year. Currently at the time of this writing this deductible is only $147. After you meet this amount Plan G pays 100 percent of the gaps in Medicare just like Plan F does, only it does it for sometimes considerably less money. This is because the monthly premiums for Plan G are less than Plan F and this almost always saves you money in most parts of the country.
Household Discount up to 12%!
Omaha Insurance company has outstanding rates for Plan G and also offers a household discount in all states. There are currently some states that offer a 12% discount on rates and the other member of the household simply has to be over the age of 60. They do not need to be on a Medicare supplement plan for you to qualify for this discount.
Most of the other states require that two members of the household carry Mutual of Omaha Medigap insurance and you will receive a 7% discount. To see how much you can qualify for in these instances call me at 888-891-0229.
Both of these plans offer as much coverage as any Medicare subscriber will need. There will be little to nothing that they will have to pay out of their own pockets. Medigap plans offer great peace of mind in knowing that most or all of your Medicare approved expenses will be paid. That doesn’t mean you need to overpay for the coverage though!
As you look for additional insurance coverage for the upcoming year, you should take note of what Mutual of Omaha has to offer. They operate a stable insurance company that has been in the business for decades, and it has made them the trusted provider for many millions of people. It is worth at least considering Omaha Insurance Company Medigap insurance for 2016.
